Excursions 2024
The Prithvi's day out to The Big Barn farm was refreshing and fun. They spent the day getting to know about animals, plants and a little bit of farming, and not to forget the most fun tractor ride.
Jala 1 & 2 visited Navadarshanam Farm, located 60 kilometers south of Bangalore,on 16th and 17th of November. they had an amazing time exploring nature and this was also a milestone achievement for them as this was there first time spending time away from their parents.
Jala 3 experienced their excursion at Magnolia Mist, Madekeri. Located amidst the beautiful Western Ghats, they learnt about the flora and fauna of the region. They also showcased a sense of unity and an ability to travel independently at a young age.
Jala 4 visited Varanashi farms in Puttur for their annual excursion. Sessions on grafting and observing the various ecosystems within the farm gave them a first hand experience of organic farming. They also keenly took part in the session on chocolate making. The children stretched beyond their limitations to adapt to the new surrounding and they held on strong and were active through out.
Agni 6 went to Kanyakumari for excursion. Along with connecting with each other and having fun, they learnt to weave the palm leaves to make baskets and craft shells which theyt picked on the shores of Kanyakumari.
Agni 7 visited Bhopal, MP for their excursion. At Bhopal, they stayed at the police officers mess, with a friendly policeman to show them aorund. As well as visiting Gond artisans and explored Bhopal as well as it environs; Sanchi, Udayagiri, Bhimbedka as well as Ratapani TIger reserve. This trip was one of the most memorable for the Grade 7 students.
Vaayu 8 and 9 had a wonderful trip this year to Meghalaya, they visited the big cities as well as small towns had lots of fun hiking and exploring. They also got to explore some trails and sacred forests, like the famous David Scott trail and brought back a ton of memories.
